The Pont de Sèvres district occupies the far south-west of Boulogne-Billancourt, on the bank of the Seine, where the bridge crosses the river towards Sèvres and Meudon. It is the terminus of metro line 9, on the south-western boundary of the town.

The area grew in the 1970s around a group of tower blocks and housing, part of it social housing, in the immediate vicinity of the river and the Le Trapèze eco-district. It has been the subject of a long-running urban renewal programme, which has deeply changed its appearance.
