The Voie du Sud district occupies the southern plateau of Longjumeau. It takes its name from the la Voie du Sud residence, at 162 rue du Président-François-Mitterrand, and is organised around the boulevard du Docteur-Cathelin, the rue de Verdun, the Verlaine residence and the le Clos d'Eau residence, the rue Léon-Renard, the rue Jean-Moulin and the rue Pasteur, as far as the route de Corbeil.
The plateau was built up from the 1960s onwards. Further east, beyond the Balizy plain, the hamlets of Balizy and Gravigny are areas of houses, attached to the district for the calculation: they are home to the Balizy commandery, sold to the Knights Templar in 1288, and the old Balizy bridge, three thirteenth-century arches classified in 1976. Gravigny-Balizy station on the T12 tram-train serves the east of the municipality.

The buyer profile is that of families and first-time buyers looking for more space at a lower price than in the centre, and of investors. Two points to examine. And the 3 % fall over five years, from 2 643 €/m² in 2021 to 2 572 in 2026, remains more moderate than in the centre.
