Les Barris occupies the right bank of the Isle, facing Puy-Saint-Front. The name refers to the suburbs that grew on the far side of the river, outside the walls, around the bridges. Place Faidherbe, checked here by point-in-polygon, is its pivot.
Rue Pierre-Magne, rue Aubarède, boulevard de Stalingrad, rue du Maréchal-Joffre, boulevard du Petit-Change and route de Lyon draw its layout. It is from this bank that the best-known view of the town is taken, that of the domes of Saint-Front above the water.
