Villès-Martin is a district on the southern coast of Saint-Nazaire, organised around its beach and the headland that borders, on the north bank, the entrance to the harbour. Its development goes back to the founding of the town as a transatlantic port, under the Second Empire, when the engineers chose this fine coastal site for a residential district.
The laying out of the seafront, at the end of the nineteenth century, gave rise to holiday villas and small south-facing town houses, with views over the ocean and the estuary. The district, long made up mainly of individual houses, later saw apartment buildings added along the coast.

Villès-Martin appeals to buyers attached to the seafront and to the view: settled families, buyers of a long-term main residence and purchasers of a coastal second home.
