The history of the district

Le Mourillon is a headland opening onto the great harbour, east of Toulon. A former fishing village, the district long played the role of maritime sentinel, as shown by the Fort Saint-Louis, built in 1692, and the Tour Royale that watches over the entrance to the harbour.

The Le Mourillon beaches, reclaimed from the sea in the 1970s, line up four coves, the Lido, Mistral, la Source and les Pins, bordered by a wooded park. The Port Saint-Louis, sheltered by its breakwaters, hosts leisure boating and fishing, while the Tabarly cove is given over to water sports.

Sought after for its maritime setting and its seaside atmosphere, Le Mourillon is one of the most prized districts of Toulon. Strong demand and the proximity of the beaches make it the most expensive area of the city per m².

Who buys in Le Mourillon

The district attracts families, executives and second-home buyers drawn by the proximity of the beaches and the maritime setting. Demand focuses on apartments with a view or a terrace and on properties close to the coast, from studios to family-sized units. The scarcity of front-line properties and the appeal of the seafront support the highest prices in Toulon.
