Rechèvres occupies the north-west of Chartres, between the station and the hillsides. The district was built in two stages: the Faubourg Saint-Jean and Le Bourgneuf, former exit-road faubourgs, then the Rechèvres estate, a housing scheme built in the middle of the twentieth century to answer the post-war housing shortage.
Chartres station stands within this perimeter, with its multimodal interchange opened in November 2024, which brings together the Filibus lines, the Rémi coaches and the school buses. The district extends west over the Les Bas-Menus area, around the rue Parmentier and the rue de Rechèvres.
On the market, Rechèvres sits at around 2 561 €/m² for an apartment, second in the municipality, on roughly 42 sales a year. It is the district that gains the most over twelve months, at 13,4 %. The range stays wide, from 1 971 to 3 006 €/m², since the building stock runs from the old faubourg to the 1950s estate.
Rechèvres attracts working households who commute to Paris by train and want to live a few minutes from the platform, along with investors drawn by that same rental demand. Chartres families are added to that, attracted by the floor areas of the faubourg. The gap between a property in the old faubourg and an apartment in the estate is particularly marked here.
The average price in Rechèvres is 2 561 €/m² for an apartment (actual DVF transactions, notarised sales), within a range of 1 971 to 3 006 €/m² depending on the building, the floor and the condition.

It is the district that rises the most in Chartres over twelve months, at 13,4 %. The transformation of the station area, with the multimodal interchange opened in November 2024, and demand from people working in the Paris region explain most of that movement.
The district mixes houses and buildings of the old faubourg, a 1950s housing estate and newer co-ownerships. That explains a wide price range, from 1 971 to 3 006 €/m²: the year of construction weighs more here than elsewhere.
