Les Sablonnières occupy the north-west of Dreux, around rue de la Sablonnière, checked here inside the district boundary, boulevard Henri-IV and rue de Billy. The district was born of the large housing estates built in the 1960s, when the industry of the Dreux area was drawing in a large workforce.
