The history of the district

Agay forms the eastern tip of Saint-Raphaël, along the Estérel corniche. Its bay, well sheltered between the Cap Dramont and the Pointe de la Baumette, opens a natural gateway towards the massif. The area also takes in Le Dramont, with its Île d'Or and its tower, and extends towards Anthéor and Le Trayas, where the red rocks of the Estérel plunge into the sea.

The district lives to the rhythm of its beaches, its bay and the coastal path, in a preserved natural setting between sea and massif. Le Dramont, a historic landing site of August 1944, the Île d'Or and the red creeks make the reputation of this coast, one of the most spectacular on the French Riviera.

Sought after for its setting and its seaside life, the Agay area concentrates strong demand for villas and sea-view apartments. Supply, scarcer and of higher quality than elsewhere in the town, sustained by the scarcity of land in a protected natural zone, supports prices among the highest in Saint-Raphaël.

Who buys in Agay

The Agay area attracts second-home buyers, retirees, families and investors drawn by the natural setting and the seasonal rental potential. Demand focuses on villas and sea-view apartments, in Agay, at Le Dramont and towards Anthéor. The scarcity of land in a protected natural zone, the sea view and the seaside setting of the Estérel make it one of the most sought-after areas in the town.
